432 ~ I made a Poster

As the title suggests, a little while ago i stayed up all night with total disregard for my personal health and uni work to try and make a film poster for my upcoming short, '432'.

I wanted a very minimalist design, but i couldn't quite get it to work for ages. I experiment with a few ideas. Originally it was going to be half the mask spilt down the right hand side, but then it felt as though there was too much wasted. I then found this angle form some photos i had taken of the costume, and though it used the space better. Then i just had to work out what to do with it. For a bit making it very stylised with block colours like that kinda, cartoon look, you know hat i mean. But that looked wank so i tried black and white and it developed from there. I wanted a mushroom cloud reflected from the start, but when i found the unique colours of that one, it really sold the monochrome and single piece of vibrant colour.

The text was pretty straight forward, and found an amazing template thingy to make the bottom credits, which work inside Photoshop. you should take some time to read it, took me a while and its got a couple of 'jokettes' in it.

Below you can see a time lapse of me working on mots of it, which i think is pretty satisfying to watch so check it out, it seems vaguely impressive but half of it is actually me googling shit.
